Terms and Conditions of Residential Telephone Line (RTL) Premium Term Plan

  1. The RTL Term Plan is made applicable to customer who subscribes to RTL service provided by Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Limited ("HKT" or "the Company").
  2. Customer cannot enjoy the RTL Term Plan concurrently with non-standard RTL rental plan or any other promotional offer / term plan offered by the Company.
  3. Customer must settle any bills issued by credit card auto-pay or bank auto-pay to enjoy this offer.
  4. The effective date of the RTL Term Plan will be the line installation date.
  5. (This clause is not applicable to Customer purchases LG BD370 BLU-RAY DISC PLAYER, Samsung 46" Full HD LCD TV (Built-in HD Tuner) (LA46B530P7MXZK), Sony 46" BRAVIA Full HD LCD TV (Built-in digital television receiver) (KDL-46W5500) or Sony 40" BRAVIA Full HD LCD TV (Built-in digital television receiver) (KDL-40W5500)) Loyalty gift collection letter or notification letter for delivery service will be sent by the Company within four weeks after full payment of the first bill. Customer who does not collect his/her loyalty gift within the collection period set out in the letter shall be deemed to forfeit his/her loyalty gift. Customer will not be compensated in any manner and the use of the RTL service shall continue to be governed by the terms and conditions of the RTL Term Plan. In addition, the Company reserves the right to replace the loyalty gift offered under the RTL Term Plan by any specified gift without notice. The Company takes no responsibility for any losses or damages whatsoever and howsoever arising from any use or enjoyment of the loyalty gift.
  6. If customer selects dedicated RTL Term Plan and purchases This clause is not applicable to Customer purchases Samsung 46" Full HD LCD TV (Built-in HD Tuner) (LA46B530P7MXZK), Sony 46" BRAVIA Full HD LCD TV (Built-in digital television receiver) (KDL-46W5500) or Sony 40" BRAVIA Full HD LCD TV (Built-in digital television receiver) (KDL-40W5500), the Company will contact customer within 14 days after the effective date of the RTL Term Plan.
  7. If customer cancels an order before the commencement of RTL installation or cancels the RTL Term Plan before completion of installation or the RTL installation cannot be completed within 60 days after the first mutually agreed installation date (except solely due to the default of the Company), an order administration fee of HK$500 will be applied to compensate the Company in connection with the preparation for the provision of the RTL service.
  8. Customer is required to provide at least 30 days' prior written notice to HKT in order to terminate the RTL service including port-out requests to other telecommunications network operators. If customer terminates the RTL service or changes the registered name or terminates the RTL Term Plan for whatever reasons prior to the expiry of any commitment period, all offers under the RTL Term Plan will no longer be applicable from the date of occurrence of the relevant event. In addition, customer is required to pay an early termination charge which is equal to the total sum of the RTL service basic rental at HK$110 per month for the remaining commitment period on a pro rata basis or HK$440, whichever is higher. If however the remaining commitment period from our receipt of the termination notice is less than 30 days, customer shall be responsible for our service charges up to and including either i) the expiry day of the 30-day notice period (as set out in the foregoing) or ii) any other day subsequent to such expiry day as agreed by the parties.
  9. The RTL Term Plan is subject to the General Conditions of Service ("General Conditions") and Special Conditions of New Generation Residential Fixed Line ("Special Conditions") (if applicable) promulgated by the Company and as amended from time to time without prior notice. Such conditions are published at http://www.pccw.com.
  10. Customer acknowledges and agrees that by providing the personal data for the RTL Term Plan application, that it is collected for and on behalf of PCCW in accordance with the PCCW Privacy Policy Statement and will be used by PCCW to process the customer's service application and for the other purposes set out in the General Conditions of Service of PCCW and that to achieve such purposes the personal data may be disclosed to third parties.   11. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail for all purposes.
